ZÜBLIN Timber built the new visitor and information centre for the Black Forest National Park on Ruhestein at 915 m according to the plans of architects Sturm und Wartzeck. The visual highlight is the Skywalk, a non-roofed footbridge that connects the visitor centre with a 35 m high observation tower. From workshop planning to assembly planning to manufacture and assembly, ZÜBLIN Timber was responsible for all glulam and cross laminated timber work, the truss girders with a span of over 60 m, as well as all steel supporting structures and the construction of the viewing tower made of steel and cross laminated timber.
